Blanket Drive
December, 2009 - January, 2010
Many Paths World Service has given over 60 blankets and dozens of socks, sweaters, t-shirts, jeans and jackets directly to our neighbors who are surviving on our streets and to Burbank Temporary Aid Center. Thank you to everyone for your thoughtful and generous donations.
Thanksgiving Day Meal Service
November 26, 2009

Many Paths World Service recruited 18 volunteers to serve over 200 individuals a delicious, hot Thanksgiving meal in partnership with First Baptist Church of North Hollywood and Faith in Christ Ministries. Twice as many were served this year at our second annual participation in this day of service than last year.
Season for the Earth
The Great LA River Cleanup Project with FoLAR
Balboa Park
May 9, 2009

We joined over 200 volunteers who came together to serve the Earth in our assigned portion of Balboa Park in Encino. It's been a lot of fun to clean up neighborhoods around LA and we decided we should lead a dedicated group during the Season for the Earth. The Great LA River CleanUp with FoLAR takes place annually on two days at many different sites along the mighty LA River and its tributaries.

Citrus Sunday
Pick fruit ~ Feed the hungry
May 3, 2009

Councilman Greig Smith and the Valley Interfaith Council joined together to ask everyone who has healthy fruit trees in their yards to pick the fruit. And, to please deliver the fresh fruit to participating Fire Stations in Sherman Oaks or Encino. They in turn distributed all fruit to meal programs and food banks around the San Fernando Valley.
Indeed, Many Paths World Service has an abundant orange tree which we picked on May 1st and all fruit was delivered on Sunday, May 3rd. Our volunteers picked, washed and packed up all the fruit in bags. We are grateful to our volunteers who joined us for an afternoon of fun and service.

Sacred Garden - Miranda Street
April 25, 2009
In honor of Earth Day, volunteers and sponsors joined Many Paths World Service and built our first Sacred Garden as part of its mission to establish small, urban public spaces. This dedicated space is the backyard of a private residence where MPWS is headquartered and holds events and workshops.

We also included a vegetable garden where all produce will be available free to our neighbors, our supporters or to food pantries in the area. The garden will be open to the public for quiet escape, meditation or a place to be in peace with a book from our on-site library. This is our first of many Sacred Garden projects around the San Fernando Valley and we look forward to your support and common energy as we build these meditative, restful spaces together. For more information, please see Events.

PATH
People Assisting the Homeless
December 2008 - January 2009

The first project for MANY PATHS WORLD SERVICE was a drive to meet general needs for the clients of PATH – People Assisting the Homeless. PATH is “a hand up, not a hand out,” helping homeless individuals and families to find work, save money, secure housing, and empower their lives. Through the generosity of many, we completed our first project by delivering a packed car-load of clothes, hygiene items, shoes, coats and gift cards.
