Many Paths World Service moves communities toward a greater understanding of the oneness of Life through the use of space and the commitment to service.  We serve humanity at the level of Spirit, Mind and Body through many different paths of collaborative service reaching out to local, national and worldwide communities. 

 

Prospect Internship

 

Responsibilities

  • Research online and print material for prospect cultivation
    • Foundations
    • Grants related to sustainable gardens, public land acquisitions, homelessness, nutrition and wellness, youth education
    • Companies/businesses
    • Sponsors
    • Board memberships
    • Donor walls
    • Direct mail lists
    • Social registers
  • Grant writing & proposal outlining
  • Develop fundraising avenues through social networks
  • Maintain/update Development database in Microsoft Excel
  • Generate ‘thank you’ letters for all levels of donors
  • General clerical and phone support

Qualifications

  • Excellent web/internet skills
  • Proficiency in advanced computer software including Microsoft Office 2007
  • Ability to work from home flexible hours and/or on-site M-W, F 10am-5pm
  • Superior communications and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to effect project efficiency and timeliness
  • Ability to focus
  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented and organized
  • Open-mindedness with a desire to make a difference in the world

Event & Project Planning Internship

 

Responsibilities

  • Posting events, classes and workshops to online venues such as Facebook, Craigslist, Eventful, etc.
  • Event, class or workshop administration including, but not limited to, RSVPs, Event Assessment forms, reminder phone calls and setup
  • Set up initial Development database in Microsoft Excel
  • Generate ‘thank you’ letters for all levels of donors
  • Research online as requested
  • Messenger services including but not limited to post office, proposal delivery and in-kind donation pickups
  • Constant Contact marketing template and email address administration
  • General clerical and phone support

Qualifications

  • Excellent web/internet skills

Garden Volunteer

Miranda Street Sacred Garden

 

Responsibilities

  • Water garden completely at least 1 to 2 evenings per week
  • Water potted plants and dry spots 2 to 3 mornings per week
  • General maintenance: weeding, remove dead flowers, etc. once a week or as needed
  • Participate in garden plantings and garden work days

 

Qualifications

  • Reliable
  • Self-motivated
  • Open-mindedness with a desire to make a difference in the world
  • Gardening experience not required
